Terms & Conditions
In these Terms and Conditions and on our website, "our", "we", "us", "BETD" and "British European Track Days" refers to British European Track Days Ltd, our employees, consultants, instructors or marshalls and includes any agents acting on our behalf. Where we have used "you", "your", "yourself", "delegate", "driver", "additional driver", "passenger", "guest", "participant" and plurals of these, they refer to customers and users of the website and of our events.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law.
WEBSITE
We reserve the right to use images and videos taken at our events on our website as we wish. They are used for indication only.
We may reproduce content from third party sites when they are used in conjunction with our services.
We do not have any control over the content of any third party website you may access through this one. By displaying a link to another website we do not endorse or accept responsibility for the content of that site.
By using our website you accept our Terms and Conditions.
You will not use our website for illegal purposes, in a way that will impair the performance or reduce the functionality of the site. You will not corrupt the content or compromise the security of our Website or attempt to gain illegal access to secure areas. You accept full responsibility for any claim, expense, liability or loss resulting in any breach of these Terms and Conditions.
EVENT
You use your vehicle.
All drivers must hold a full UK, or non-UK equivalent, driving licence which must be shown in full at event registration. Where allowed, passengers must be 16 years of age or older.
All delegates must attend the safety briefing where there is one.
All delegates must sign our indemnity form when registering at an event.
Some events operate with restrictions. These will be identified at time of booking an event (examples may be noise restrictions for vehicles, height restrictions for delegates). In these cases, tests will be performed and any vehicle or person that exceeds the restrictions will not be allowed to participate.
Our decisions are final. We will preside over any disputes between yourself and another delegate at our event. If, for any reason a delegate or vehicle is withdrawn from an event we will not be liable for any loss or refund.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to delegates or vehicles deemed not suitable for an event. This may include delegates under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or vehicles that are not roadworthy. Any delegate or vehicle that cause an unreasonable number of event stoppages may be excluded from participation in the event.
The driver will be liable for any damage caused to the property at any event.
We will not be liable for any damage to you, your vehicle or your passengers and guests.
If we are unable to run the event we will refund your booking fee with our best endeavours. However, if the event is cancelled or changed due to circumstances beyond our control, refunds may not be guaranteed. We cannot be held liable for any expense or loss incurred.
Where our events are held in conjunction with another Event Organiser, the Terms and Conditions imposed by the Event Organiser will be transferred to you. These may include a requirement for their indemnity forms to be signed, attendance of their safety briefing, their conditions or restrictions to be met etc. These will be notified to you in advance of the event.
TRACKDAY / MASTERCLASS
TRACKDAY and MASTERCLASS conditions are the same for our EVENTS with the addition of:
Where required, towing eyes must be fitted to the vehicle when on the track.
All novice drivers must attend the pre-event sighting laps.
Only the driver and 1 passenger will be allowed in the vehicle on the track at a time.
Both the driver and passenger must wear long sleeves, long trousers and a crash helmet that meets current MSA regulations when on the track.
Timing of laps, competitive or aggressive driving is strictly forbidden. All driving should be strictly within your ability.
We do not scrutinise vehicles. Track driving is harder on the vehicle than road driving, using more fuel and causing greater wear of tyres and brakes. We recommend you check your vehicle is fully suitable for the type of driving expected, in particular check that:
- tyres have a minimum of 3.5mm tread and are road legal at the end of the day if you intend to drive home. They should be free from cuts and splits with all the balance weights in place. Tyre pressures must be correct and wheel nuts must be secure
- brake pads and disks are in good condition, working effectively with wear to spare. Ensure brake fluid levels are adequate with no leaks
- there is no excessive play in the wheel bearings
- oil and water are topped up and all the filters and belts are in good condition
- you have adequate fuel for your time on the track. Running out of fuel on the track will incur time delays for other delegates while you are recovered.
BOOT CAMP
BOOT-CAMP conditions are the same for our EVENTS with the addition of:
Images and videos of our BOOT CAMP events and locations are for guidance only. The exact location and conditions may vary.
We will provide details of the location and conditions in advance with as best accuracy as possible. We will always endeavour to provide the best service possible.
BOOT CAMPS by their nature bring people from different back grounds together in close proximity for a short time. All participants to be respectful of each-others needs and privacy.
ETIQUETTE
All motoring events are dangerous. Safety at our events is paramount for everyone.
Delegates must attend the safety briefing where there is one. If you do not comply with the rules set out in the safety briefing you may be excluded from the event.
Delegates must wear badges, wristbands and tags where issued, to identify that they have been briefed on the safety rules.
Breaking any of the rules set out in the safety briefing may invalidate any event insurance you hold.
Aggressive behaviour towards us or other participants will result in expulsion from the event.
You must be respectful of other participants as equals.
